We where in Spain but the weather was not like Spain. It was cold 8℃ and the people of the team told us to skip the session. It was to cold, little grip and it could only end up wrong. So we did. As I mentioned we had 7 sessions in a day so we didn’t care much.

As I mentioned in the previous post /circuit%20cartagena/trackdudes/2022/03/28/cartagena.html Peter but also I remembered the tips we got from the riders and put it into practice. At the end of the morning sessions Peter did a 1:49.700 and I was stuck at a 1:51.2 but not frustrated as you can see on the video we had a lot of traffic and a clear lap was not always there. During lunch the sun started shining and this always makes me feel good. The last 2 sessions of the day where my best ones. Did first a 1:49.6 only 0.1 seconds slower then Peter because he also improved his time to a 1:49.573.

But during the last session I had some very good laps. When we both ended the day with lots a fun kilometers I hit refresh on my phone and I saw a 1:49.453 😁 and was pleased with the result. Of all 33 riders (15 professional riders) we where at place 15 and 16 overall. In our group one of the fastest ones.

We had some good overtaking moments, we also on a similar speed AND HAD SO MUCH FUN that the day ended perfectly.

On a 3 day event you think up to the next day but unlike normal weather in Spain, it was raining like you have never seen before. During the dry time I only drove 10 minutes but there was NO grip on the rear. The track was dirty of all the sand and I called it a day. After that the rain started to become more and more intense again and we started to pack our bags.
