And here we are back in the Spanish sun! Left The Netherlands where it was raining and 6℃ for the 20℃ sun. It has been some time since I rode the last time. And that was when the gearbox of the bike broke. Preparation did not go all that well. When I was preparing the bike the bike showed error code on the screen. Brought the bike back to MVR Racing and he tried to find the issue. Back on the track the issue appeared again but also the quick-shifter and blipper where not working because the traction control light stayed on. But there was no quick fix far away from the garage but we went out to have fun even though I had to learn to shift again 😅.
We started the day calmly. We had 7 sessions of 20 minutes to plenty of track time. Dispite the problems with the QS I was pretty fast back in the rithm. Not many rider on the track and lots of free track was nice to get back in the rithm without riders passing you or holding you up.
Laptimes where OK but the rear tire I had was at the end of the day pretty used. Had lots of fun and rode 6 full sessions. Here in Spain they have siesta and you have 5 sessions before lunch. This is quite a lot and the 40 minutes rest you have passes really fast. So I skipped session 5 to have enough force to ride the last 2 of the day.
We shared the box with 2 other Dutch guys. Really nice guys and the day finished in a good way. We all had fun and where tired of the first day. Ready to find some diner and relax.
Continue here for the next day
