Last minute trackday and it was a GOOD one! A slight delay because of the highway being closed. Mounted new foot pegs that allowed reverse shifting but one screw got loose and could not shift. I was at the end of the start finish line so I could enter the pits pretty easy, mounted a new bolt and got on my way again in less then 9 minutes!
Because the previous day I could not test out the electronic settings I needed to continue to do this. Felt that the traction control was to present when going out the corner and opening up the throttle. Suddenly when the bike was almost at no lean angle the engine kicked in very hard and this ended up in a wheelie almost every time. Fun but not desirable.
The 3rd session I went to rider mode 1, full power minimal traction control and this was a much better ride. I struggled with the ABS though, it did not allow me to break onder a lean angle and therefore I overshot the corner entry quite a few some times. I noticed when I downshifted while breaking together instead of at the very end the bike braked much better and the ABS did not kick in. Although I’m going to see if the ABS can be switched off, although it is a SP version the ABS is to present for track riding.
At the end of the 3rd session there was a big crash that happened in front of me that involved 🔥🚑 and I hope the riders are both ok. Check the video’s for the sort version that has the crash in the title.
But all session where very good, got more familiar with the bike and the riding style for it. Still looking for some tweaks but very happy with the results and there is yet a lot more to come.
