A very sunny day and a lot of fun to come! After the 5 hours of Assen I had to change the breakpads. They where completely gone. With the new ones I had to break them in for a few corners. After the session the break leaver was on the handlebar but that was fine. I always do the first session in a slower pace to feel hoe the bike and track is.

Today was a session with a sound limit of 98㏈ and in the first session I already got a ⚑ with 117 (my number) on it. 101㏈ was the sound. Honestly I’m aware of the measurement poles and I kept my calm when passing it. But I was not the only one. Roy who was with us also got his ⚑ flag for passing the sound limit.

When following Peter (white/blue BMW) running up to the hill I always have a good pace. I told him I could pass him on the inside. And if he was fine with that doing he must stay on the right (which is a better line). He told me sure, when you can, you can pass me.

And so we started on the second session. It was a good and already a fast session. Had some fun poking Peter and that and we had fun with this. But some time later again the ⚑ with again 101㏈.

Second sound penalty and you done for the day. It was not my first time but it had been a while since it happened. But during the day a lot of riders had sound issues, as much as 30+ of the 120 riders!!! There is seriously something wrong how they punish the riders at Circuit Zolder!! During the briefing they tell you to stick together because the measurement does not count, you can as much sound as you which, but when you pass alone and even with only 1 lap over the limit you punished. I asked for the sound readings and my average of session 1 of all laps and all measurement points is 95,46㏈ and this includes even passes with other riders. The second session I had a average of: 98,08㏈ (all measurements where with multiple riders except 1!). They really have to change the way of punishing the riders. I have a 50cm muffler, original air filter, inside of all my bodywork I have sound damping material and I keep calm on the gas. After all we are not bird watching we are here to RACE. This year will be the last time that we will visit Zolder on a sound limit day. Next year I will come only on the no limit days to prevent this money waisting.

I’m feeling that the sport is every year getting more popular but nobody wants you to have it. It is very hypocrite of residents that live at a race track to complain about the sound. Yes I think we should not allow riders without a muffler and ㏈ and keep the sound as low as possible, but please let us have some fun to!

First of August we go again, hope we don’t see the ⚑ again.
