WOW 😲 what a race track!!

I’d never been to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, and from the moment you arrive, you can tell it’s a world-class circuit. The pit lane is incredibly long, and the paddock is huge.

In the first session, my lap timer didn’t work, so I don’t have lap times recorded, but they were similar to those from the second session. The first few laps were all about getting familiar with the track, learning the lines, and adjusting my riding style. This track is fast, with intense braking zones, plus both slow and very high-speed corners.

My favorite part of the track is from Turn 5 through Turn 8. The combination of these corners—going from a very slow pace to reaching the end of 4th gear with a hard braking zone at the end—definitely gets my heart racing.

As the laps went by, my speed and consistency improved, eventually bringing me just under the 2-minute mark in the last session, even with a pretty worn-out tire. The track has so much grip that it really chews up the right side of the tire! I was running a Metzler K1, but it turned out to be a bit too soft for this track. Luckily, I had a K0 as a backup 😅.

Overall, the first day was amazing—sunny and a perfect day for racing. I enjoyed every moment!
